With over twenty years of investment experience, Martin Young,CEO of Meyado Group, Private Wealth Management is a self-made man who takes
pride in the success of his global investment company.
As the CEO of Meyado, Martin focuses on merges and acquisitions,
venture capital investments and general leadership and management tasks. In the
past ten years, he has prepared the company for strategic opportunities. Martin
took an active role in the approach to all of Meyado’s investments on an
international level, making sure that every client’s investments are not only orientated
to their personal risk profiles but also enhanced and maximised for the utmost
return.
In 1993, Martin Young founded Meyado Private Wealth Management
and grew the company to 80 employees working in five countries with 3500
clients and managing £500 million. Martin has founded a company whose success
hinges on the high employee morale around the office. Meyado strives for the
perfect balance between work and fun. Professional training coaches, employee
retreats and appealing incentive programmes are never in short supply for the
employees at Meyado.
After his time starting at Meyado, Martin Young was the CEO of
Meretec Corporation which was a private equity deal where he commercialised the
de-zinching of galavnised steel in plants built plants in East Chicago and
Melbourne. After this company was sold Martin took over as CEO of Corsair
Venture Capital Management a role he still holds today
Martin trained for two years with the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Armoured
Corps in Dorset before graduating to his regiment of The Blues and Royals, part
of the Household Cavalry and serving four years. After travelling through Europe and the
United States, Martin began a career in the real estate business. Not long
after, he moved into the investment industry working for high profile companies
such as Old Mutual and Merrill Lynch.
At the age of only thirty, Martin Young made the decision to
become an entrepreneur and founded Meyado in Germany. As a person and a
company, Martin Young and Meyado realise that every investment and client
should be treated like an individual, a mantra that has led Young down a very
successful path in both his personal and professional life.
Always looking for the opportunity to advance, Martin currently
attends an accelerated development business programme at The University of
Chicago Booth School of Business.
Martin is happily married and kept extremely busy with four
school-aged children residing in Upper Culham, England. He enjoys playing Polo
and spending as much quality time with his family as possible. With the little
spare time he has left in his active schedule, Martin enjoys adventure training
the future business leaders of tomorrow by heading retreats to places like
Greenland, Yukon and Belize. He believes that these challenging expeditions
help to enhance self-development, confidence and leadership in the next
generation of business executives.
A philanthropist for many years, Young supports many charities
that better the lives of military veterans as well as MacMillan Cancer Support,
Royal British Legion, MS Society, Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund
and Firefighters Memorial Trust.
